Hey, everyone, this is Jennifer White, CEO of Bright Futures Families Surrogacy, with this week's Ask Question, which is: What happens if our match doesn't work?
And it's a really great question, and unfortunately, I have to give a really fuzzy answer because it depends when it didn't work and why it didn't work as to what the answer really is in general, as an intended parent, I know the reassurance that you want, and the truth is that we will work to rematch you no matter what. When a match breaks, it's just a matter of what that process looks like. You know, a lot of questions is how quickly it can happen, things like that. So it depends if it matches, if it break when the clinic is reviewing the medical records, if it breaks because she didn't pass the medical screening, what if you guys don't come to a legal agreement, it breaks there, or what if it's a medical decision that the doctor makes after an embryo transfer is unsuccessful or that you make after an embryo transfer is unsuccessful? And the answer for the first three of those is, anything before an embryo transfer, we rematch you for free. Anything that occurs after an embryo transfer at that point, we then would rematch you for a discounted portion of the first agency fee and be able to move forward from there. It depends on which circumstance and why it broke at that point. But we are happy to talk through with full transparency about what happens in those situations and to reassure you that we really will take care of all of you in that situation.
