Ready to take a first step?
It starts with our surrogate inquiry form, a short set of questions that doesn't commit you to anything. If you meet our surrogate requirements, you'll receive a link to schedule a time that works for you to meet with a Bright Futures Families team member. Together, you'll talk through next steps and any questions on your mind, so you can decide what feels right for you and your family.

Who can become a surrogate with Bright Futures Families?
Women 21 to 41 who are U.S. citizens, have a BMI of 19 to 31, and have given birth to and are raising at least one child. You'll also need a support network and no smoking, vaping or cannabis use. See all surrogate requirements.
Who pays for my medical and legal costs?
Your intended parents cover pregnancy-related medical costs from the start of IVF through at least six weeks postpartum. They also pay for your own independent attorney to review your contract.
Will I have to travel for appointments?
Some steps, like screening and embryo transfer, happen at the IVF clinic. If you live 50 or more miles away, your travel and lodging are covered.
Will I lose income for appointments?
No. Your lost wages are reimbursed, and so are your partner's when needed (some limits apply).
What happens after I fill out the inquiry form?
Someone from our team reaches out to answer your questions and share next steps if you meet the requirements and schedule a call. Filling out the form doesn't commit you to anything. Start your surrogate inquiry.
Why use a surrogacy agency instead of going independent?
A case manager helps you navigate the legal, medical, insurance and payment conversations for you. Every surrogate we interviewed said she wouldn't do a journey without one. Learn about our process.
