Hey everyone, this is Jennifer White, CEO of Bright Futures Families Surrogacy, with this week's question which is: Do intended parents have to meet certain requirements to move forward, too?

Yes, of course they do. There are some pretty big ones that are most important and notable. Obviously they have to fill out a lot of paperwork and do a lot of disclosures and things like that. But the biggest is that they do need to undergo background checks just like gestational carriers do as well. They do go through a psychosocial consultation appointment. It's not a psych evaluation, but it is a consultation appointment that they do need to complete complete. And the final thing of course is that we as an agency request the intended parents have medical necessity and there's plenty of ways to demonstrate medical necessity and I can always talk to people about that on one on one but it is something that we do require as well. So of course there's plenty more but those are the big things. So I hope that helps.
