Hi! Callie Megel, Intake Coordinator at Bright Futures Families Surrogacy, with ask a surrogacy expert. And today's question is: What procedure are involved in the medical screening process?

So once we have all those medical records and they're reviewed, we'll send them over to the medical or send them over to the fertility clinic, and then you will go over and have a medical clearance appointment. And that appointment would involve such as a plethora of blood draws, a whole huge physical, a Pap, usually a Pap smear, even if you had one within a year. And honestly, every clinic is different, and every clinic is going to have a different procedure for you. If you want to find out more about what more specific clinics and what more specific procedures each clinics have, please feel free to reach out.
