Hi, it's Janelle Ibarra at Bright Futures Families Surrogacy with Ask A Surrogacy Expert. Our question is: Do I get to choose my care provider once I'm pregnant?

So, yes, with an asterisk. What I mean by that is, yes, you'll get to choose who your care provider is. However, you won't start seeing them until at least 12 weeks gestation, when you're cleared by the fertility clinic, because up to that point, you'll be under their care. And that's just to monitor and make sure that everything's going smoothly. And so that timeline of when you will be released to your own OB or midwife, that timeline is going to depend on how things are going, because as we know, each pregnancy is different. If you have any questions, please contact us.
