After the birth, can I, as a surrogate, stay in contact with the intended parents and the baby?

Hi, it's Janelle Ibarra at Bright Futures Families Surrogacy with Ask a Surrogacy Expert. Our question is: After the birth, can I keep in contact with the intended parents and the baby? 

So if this is something that's important to you, please communicate it early on, prior to and during the matching process. Because we want to make sure that we match surrogates and intended parents who are like minded to ensure not only the best possible journey, but the relationship thereafter if they choose to maintain one. And it certainly is a possibility. Though if that's something that you would like and if that's important to you, again, please communicate it. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
