Hey, everyone, it's Amanda Kinnard-Fuchsgruber, Director of Bright Futures Families Surogacy, with this week's Ask Question. And today's question is, how do you know a surrogate will take care of themselves? Honestly, you don't. Every second of every day because you can't watch or control her every move, right? Although you have to trust her in her previous pregnancies that she didn't do drugs with those or out drink alcohol. So thus why would she want to do it with your baby. Surrogates are really wanting to do something amazing to help you to help this goal of growing a family, and they don't want to put any of that in jeopardy, not to mention the legal and compensation ramifications. But honestly, you have to trust that your gestational carrier is wanting the best for you and your baby. They will also be seeing an OB throughout this process who will obviously be monitoring things.

And you should be able to have contact with the OB in order to check in on the pregnancy and make sure that everything is healthy and great. But honestly, surrogates, most of them are doing this really to help you and to help your you go home with a happy and healthy baby, and they don't want to do anything to put that into jeopardy.
