Hi, this is Danielle Gage, a Case manager at Bright Futures Families Surrogacy, with Ask a Surrogacy Expert. And today our question is a psych screening seems really scary. What is involved in that? And a psych screening may sound really scary and more scary than it actually is. It's a clinical interview with a mental health professional where they assess your motivations, your emotional stability, understanding the surrogacy process, what your support system looks like, and also the ability to manage the complexities of carrying someone else's child. There is also a personality test that is administered after the interview, sometimes before. It depends on your mental health professional and their process. If you are married or have a partner, they will also need to participate in the interview. Thank you for your question.
