Callie Megel, intake coordinator at Bright Futures Families Surrogacy, here for Ask a Surrogacy Expert and today's question is directly after the surrogate baby is born, who is the baby handed to? And that is a very case by case. It is situation by situation thing. From past experience, the baby is handed directly and the ideal is baby is handed directly to intended parents to either do skin to skin or whatever they choose to do. Sometimes something might happen where baby needs extra care and is taken to wherever is needed. But definitely situation by situation.
