Hey everyone, it's Jennifer, CEO of Bright Futures Families Surrogacy, with this week's question, which is what could slow down the clearance process from the gestational carrier side? And the honest answer is there are two big things that can slow down the process. The biggest one that is out of your control as a potential gestational carrier is how long it takes to retrieve your medical records. While we do use a service to do that, unfortunately, sometimes providers take a long time, especially if you have previous military hospital records. A lot of the times we can ask you to help nudge that process along and that may help speed things up a little bit when they're hearing from the patient versus a third party provider.

The other thing that can slow things down, quite honestly, is you potentially as a potential gestational carrier, you know, if you don't get paperwork back to us quickly or with any amount of urgency, or if your schedule is too busy to do interviews or psychological evaluations or things like that, then that can also slow down the process. So besides the medical records, a lot of it is really self driven by you as to how long the process takes. I hope that helps.
