What is the average time that it takes as a GC, from submitting my application to transfer of the embryo?

Callie Megel, Intake Coordinator at Bright Futures Families Surrogacy, here with Ask a Surrogacy Expert. And today's question is: What is the average time it takes a gestational surrogate from submitting the application to transferring an embryo?

And that is really hard to answer because every surrogate coming in is so unique. One surrogate have one delivery that we need to obtain medical records for. Another surrogate could have three or four deliveries that we need to obtain medical records for. And we are really at the mercy of the those medical records to come in and how long they do take. The other things is I don't know if how long the fertility clinic's going to take once you do get matched and legal. We don't know how long you'll be in legal but there's no generic timeline that I can give someone. I wish I could but I can't. If you have any more questions on how our process works and what steps you need to take to become a traditional carrier, please feel free to reach out.
