If so, which types and when is the safest time to use it? Most experts agree that hair dye is generally safe during pregnancy, especially after the first trimester. Many people choose ammonia free or semi permanent dyes as a gentler option. As always, it's best to check with your doctor to be sure what's right for you and your pregnancy.
