The main point is that having a credit card is not mandatory for gestational carriers but strongly recommended due to travel-related holds and deposits.
Credit card recommended for travel holds and deposits
Some services, like hotel check-ins, require security deposit that is easier with credit card. Ride services (such as Uber) place holds on cards to secure payments during travel. Using a debit card can cause longer hold times, complicating travel logistics. Staying local reduces the need for a credit card since fewer holds and deposits apply. The policy aims to ease travel experiences and limit financial burden on the gestational carrier rather than impose strict requirements.

Callie here for today's question. And today's question is, “Why do I have to have a credit card to be a gestational carrier?” And the open honest is you don't, but it's a lot more helpful if you do. There are situations where, you know, we have to check a hotel for you and you have to have a security deposit. If you know, schedule an Uber, they put a hold on a card and if you used to use it. So for, say, a debit card, it would be a little bit long. More definitely other things that come in line that would have to have a hold on them while traveling. Usually if you are local and local to your intended parents, it's not quite as an issue as to if you were traveling. But if you have any more questions, please reach out.
