I keep hearing your agency can be anywhere. It doesn't matter, because you will never actually go there. Is this true? Is there a benefit to having a local agency?

Hi! This is Callie Megel, Intake Coordinator at Bright Futures Families Surrogacy, for Ask a Surrogacy Expert. And today's question is: I keep hearing your agency can be anywhere. It doesn't matter because you'll never actually go there. Is it true? What is the benefit to having a local agency?
So, yes, we can be anywhere. We can work with a surrogate or intended parent no matter where they're located. Of course, we know all the rules and regulations for each state with surrogacy, and that can be very beneficial of working with an agency. The other thing is, is it beneficial working with a local agency? Of course it is, but a case manager is always a phone call away, and we do work with many surrogates in all different states. So you're pretty good about pairing people up that would need support during their journey. And we also do a lot of virtual meetups for GC and attending parents. So if you have any more questions, please feel free to reach out.
