If I am slightly anemic but it doesn't really affect me and hasn't affected me with my pregnancy, will I still be able to apply to become a surrogate?

Hi, this is Danielle Gage, Case Manager at Bright Futures Families Surrogacy, with Ask a Surrogacy Expert. And today our question is: If I am slightly anemic, but it really doesn't affect me and hasn't affected me with my pregnancy, will I still be able to apply? The answer is you can always apply. We can review records, but ultimately it would come down to the clinic. If you're only slightly anemic, and I mean, that would depend on your numbers, the clinic would most likely have you start on a supplement to increase your iron. If you're already on a supplement, they would probably look at the supplement you're taking and go from there. Thank you for your question.
