Hi everyone. Ashley Old, Case Manager at Bright Futures Families Surrogacy, here with your Ask a Surrogacy Expert question. This week's question: Can my spouse become a surrogate without my consent? In most cases, a spouse cannot become a surrogate without the consent of their partner. Surrogacy is a complex process that involves both legal and emotional considerations, and many surrogacy agreements require the consent of both spouses. Honestly, if you both are not in the same place to give consent, it's probably best to not move forward with surrogacy at this moment. Thanks for the question.
