Hi, this is Danielle Gage, Case Manager at Bright Futures Families Surrogacy, with Ask a Surrogacy Expert, and today our question is: Can I qualify as a surrogate even though I am 40 years old? And yes, you may be able to qualify to be a surrogate if you are 40, if you meet all the other surrogate qualifications. The American Society of Reproductive Medicine, ASRM for short, recommends that gestational carriers can be between the age of 21 and 45. However, it would depend on the IVF clinic the intended parents use. If you would like more information about becoming a gestational carrier, please feel free to reach out to us here at Bright Futures Families. Thank you for your question.
