Hey everyone, it's Amanda Kinnard-Fuchsgruber, Director of Bright Futures Families Surrogacy, with today's Ask Question and the question is: Can I be a surrogate if my partner does not approve? No. The main reason is your partner is an integral support person in this process as well as they need to be part of all the paperwork, all of the releases, all of the clinic testing, the legal agreements. They really are part of the process. You even though yes, the gestational carrier is doing a bulk of the work and the one growing the baby, the partner is still part of the process. So if they don't approve, we do have some videos on our website that talk about partners who originally did not approve. We also have people on our staff that our spouses would be willing to talk to your partner or spouse about it.

But if they don't approve, it just means now is not the right time for this process. If you have any questions, we'd love to hear them.
