Hi, this is Danielle Gage, Case Manager at Bright Futures Families Surrogacy, with Ask a Surrogacy Expert. And today our question is: How many embryos are transferred to the surrogate? The current guidelines that the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, ASRM for short, recommend that only one embryo is transferred to a surrogate during an IVF procedure. That's just to help to minimize the risk of multiple like multiple pregnancy and complications for both the surrogate and the baby. Here at Bright Futures Families, our surrogacy agency follows those guidelines and we only allow single embryo transfers. Thank you for your question.
