Callie Megel, Intake Coordinator at Bright Futures Families Surrogacy, here for Ask a Surrogacy Expert. And today's question is: Can I apply to become a surrogate if I'm still breastfeeding?
And that answer is yes, most definitely. We can kind of get you started on their application process. We can gather those medical records and kind of get you ready to be cleared. But the clinic will want three healthy, normal periods after you're done breastfeeding. And most people say, well, I already have periods when I'm breastfeeding. That doesn't really matter. We still would need those three healthy periods after breastfeeding. If you have any more questions, please let us know. If you want to find out more about the process on if you're still breastfeeding and how that all works, feel free to reach out.
