After the birth, will I, as a surrogate, have a hard time giving the baby to the intended parents?

Hi, this is Danielle Gage, Case Manager at Bright Futures Families Surrogacy, with Ask a Surrogacy Expert. And today our question is: After the birth, will I have a hard time giving the baby to the IPs?

Most gestational carriers are going into this process of surrogacy, understanding that the baby that they will be carrying and delivering is not their child. When you have that mentality going into the process, it really helps you as the surrogate to not have a hard time giving the baby to the IPs because that is their child. It has no biological relation to you as the surrogate. Thank you for your question.
