Started by two sisters, Jennifer White and Ellen Trachman, BFF is the realization of a dream to make an amazing difference in the world. After focusing on the legal side of assisted reproductive technology law, Jenn and Ellen saw a need for intended parents and gestational surrogates to be able to find each other and receive support on a local, personalized level, without losing any of the expertise and professionalism of a national agency.

The team quickly grew to include past gestational carriers, passionate about helping others. We have the breadth and depth of experience in surrogacy — legal, medical, mental health, insurance, financial and otherwise — to seamlessly coordinate the complicated pieces of your journey. We do the hard work, so you can focus on preparing for your little one.

Our goal is to transform an emotional roller coaster into a joyful experience, knowing you are supported every step of the way.     On the personal front, we’ve dealt with our share of infertility issues. We bring compassion and a parent’s perspective to this very personal, nontraditional, loving way of growing a family. We get it. We’re here to make sure your concerns are dealt with and your financial—and emotional—investment is protected. Additionally, many of our team members have been gestational carriers themselves, so have direct knowledge and experience with how much work being a surrogate involves!

    • The intricacies of surrogacy requires legal representation for both intended parents and gestational carriers. One of our founders is the founding partner of Trachman Law Center, LLC, specializing in surrogacy law. Ellen is a great resource for legal questions generally, and can help you find the right fit of a knowledgeable and experienced licensed attorney for your representation. Unlike many agencies that insist intended parents use in-house counsel or their appointed attorney, we provide the guidance you need to find the right professional, but leave the ultimate decision in your hands. We’re happy to recommend attorneys to meet your needs.

  • Bright Futures Families is a member of SEEDS (Society for Ethical Egg Donation and Surrogacy), ASRM (American Society of Reproductive Medicine), RESOLVE (a national infertility organization), AllPath Family Building (formerly RESOLVE New England), and the New England Fertility Society. We’re firm believers in ethical surrogacy practices.
